Contract | Days (3x12 Hours, 7:00–19:30) | Onsite | Weekends required to meet staffing needs
Key Responsibilities
- Provide postpartum nursing care for patients following vaginal or cesarean delivery, including tubal ligation and circumcision
- Support GYN surgeries, couplet care, low-risk antepartum, and transition nursery patients
- Administer blood and blood products, heparin, insulin, and magnesium sulfate; manage epidural pumps, PCA pumps, syringe pumps, and wound vacs
- Circulate and scrub for cesarean sections; attend all deliveries and assist with low-risk labor and delivery cases
- Operate CPAP/BiPAP equipment and cooling/warming blankets; obtain 12-lead EKGs
- Float to NICU or L&D as needed to meet unit staffing requirements
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of Mother Baby / Postpartum nursing experience
- Current BLS and NRP certifications required
- Prior travel nursing experience required (first-time travelers not accepted)
- Ability to scrub and circulate cesarean sections and attend all deliveries
- 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required prior to start
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in low-risk antepartum, LDRP, or transition nursery settings
- Familiarity with post-op care and OB-GYN surgical procedures
- Comfort floating between Mother Baby, NICU, and L&D units
