Key Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of radiographic examinations including general X-rays, fluoroscopy, and specialized procedures according to physician orders and established protocols.
• Greet and prepare patients for imaging procedures, explaining what to expect, obtaining relevant medical history, and ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout the process.
• Operate radiographic equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images, adjusting exposure settings and positioning techniques as necessary.
• Review radiographic images for quality and perform basic image processing techniques such as cropping, collimation, and annotation to support accurate interpretation.
• Document examination details including patient demographics, procedure notes, imaging findings, and radiation exposure records in the EMR or radiology information system.
• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate imaging services and facilitate patient care.

Required Qualifications

• Associate's degree from a JRCERT-accredited Radiology Program (or military training equivalent validated by active ARRT certification).
• Active ARRT certification.
• Active licensure through the Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy.
• Current BLS certification.
• Strong knowledge of radiographic techniques, equipment operation, and radiation safety practices including ALARA guidelines.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills with a commitment to patient-centered care and quality improvement.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience working as a Radiology Technologist in a hospital or medical imaging facility.
