Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Days | Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy evaluations, treatments, and discharge planning across both the Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF) and acute care units
- Manage a caseload of approximately 4 patients per day on the IRF unit and 8–12 patients per day in acute care
- Participate in team conferences and provide family training as part of the care continuum
- Recommend and implement adaptive devices and adaptive equipment to support patient independence
- Document patient care accurately using the facility's EMR system (Meditech)
- Work every other weekend and holidays in rotation with permanent hospital staff, with a minimum of one weekend shift per month required
Required Qualifications
- Active Occupational Therapist (OT) state license in good standing
- Active BLS certification
- Minimum of 1 year of occupational therapy experience
- Willingness and ability to work on an IRF unit
- Weekend flexibility with availability for rotating weekend and holiday shifts
- Strong critical thinking and clinical reasoning skills
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior hospital and/or inpatient rehabilitation facility (IRF) experience highly preferred
- Experience with stroke and/or neurological patient populations
- Collaborative, flexible, and team-oriented work style
