Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Cardiac and Medical PCU / True ICU Stepdown environment
• Manage and monitor cardiac and vasoactive drips including Levophed, Dopamine, Nitroglycerin, Cardizem, and Amiodarone
• Operate and monitor BiPAP and High Flow Oxygen therapy for patients requiring respiratory support
• Perform IV starts and maintain IV access in accordance with unit protocols
• Apply telemetry monitoring skills to assess and respond to cardiac rhythm changes
• Float within scope to meet facility needs across the hospital or affiliate locations as required

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 18 months of RN experience in IMC, PCU, or Stepdown setting
• Active Indiana RN license in hand at time of submission — pending licenses are not accepted
• ACLS and BLS certifications required and must be in hand at time of submission
• Proficiency with telemetry, IV starts, cardiac and vasoactive drip management, BiPAP, and High Flow Oxygen
• Trauma/care level experience: Level I, II, III, or IV required
• Must be willing to work 2 out of 3 major holidays

Preferred Experience / Skills

• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification preferred
• Experience with ventilator management preferred
• Charge Nurse experience preferred
• Conscious sedation experience preferred
