Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Rotating Weekends | 36 Guaranteed Hours per Week
Key Responsibilities
- Consistently apply the nursing process, critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and technical skills to independently deliver safe nursing care to Labor and Delivery patients
- Perform and assist with procedures including vaginal deliveries and Caesarean sections
- Utilize fetal monitoring equipment and document care using electronic documentation systems
- Collaborate with the patient care team to achieve quality patient outcomes
- Demonstrate accountability for delivering quality nursing care services while maintaining professionalism and active engagement in unit activities
- Float to other units as needed per facility policy
Required Qualifications
- Active Texas RN License (temporary licenses will not be accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of hospital or specialty experience in Labor and Delivery
- Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification
- Experience with Meditech and/or CPN documentation systems
- Prior travel nursing experience in a Labor and Delivery setting
