Contract | Days | 3x12 Hours (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Circulate in the operating room across multiple surgical specialties including General, GYN, Urology, Orthopedic Total Joint/Sports Med, ENT/Plastics, Endovascular, Podiatry, and DaVinci robotic cases
- Assist with and support DaVinci XI robotic-assisted surgical procedures including GYN, General, and Urology cases
- Provide skilled perioperative nursing care within an 8-suite OR department at a short-term acute care facility
- Adhere to on-call requirements, with no more than 40 hours of call per 6-week period and a 45-minute response time
- Document patient care accurately using Cerner electronic health records
- Candidate must work 2 out of 3 major holidays per contract requirements
Required Qualifications
- Active Indiana RN license or Compact license — must be in hand prior to start date
- Minimum of 5 years of Operating Room nursing experience
- DaVinci XI robotic experience required (GYN, General, and Urology cases)
- Proficiency in at least 3 of the 4 required specialty areas: General, GYN, Urology, and Orthopedic Total Joint/Sports Med
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications — must be in hand at time of submission
- Must be a graduate of a nursing program accredited by ACEN or CCNE
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience across all four required specialty areas: General, GYN, Urology, and Orthopedic Total Joint/Sports Med
- Familiarity with Cerner charting system
- Prior travel nursing experience (first-time travelers are not accepted for this position)
