Radiologic Technologist – Cardiac Cath Lab with Electrophysiology (EP) Study and Radiofrequency (RF) Ablation Skills

Key Responsibilities
- Perform all imaging aspects within the Cardiac Cath Lab, including scrubbing and panning cardiovascular arterial and venous studies such as vascular angiography, angioplasty, arteriography, electrophysiology, and hemodynamic measurements
- Assist with PPM/AICD insertions and replacements alongside cardiologists, radiologists, and vascular surgeons
- Manage inventory ordering and supply chain under facility PAR levels, monitoring per-case expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities
- Maintain and troubleshoot fluoroscopy and ultrasound equipment; recognize overexposure of radiation and apply principles of radiation physics, biology, and safety to minimize exposure to patients and staff
- Ensure department compliance with rules and regulations set forth by governing and accreditation agencies, including providing radiation safety input as needed
- Function as a collaborative team member, accepting reassignments and additional duties in a flexible and positive manner while maintaining a cohesive team environment
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Technologist Program or Radiologic Technologist Program
- Must hold one of the following active certifications: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), or Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES)
- Must meet applicable state licensure requirements corresponding to certification and job function (e.g., Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist license and Fluoroscopy permit if ARRT certified)
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch frequently; may be required to lift up to 75 pounds
- Must adhere to standard precautions due to potential exposure to blood and bodily fluids
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in a freestanding cardiac cath lab or ambulatory surgical setting
- Familiarity with electrophysiology studies and radiofrequency ablation procedures
- Experience with Joint Commission accreditation processes and radiation safety compliance
