Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36–48 Hours per Week | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide complex monitoring and treatment of adult patients in a 16-bed high-acuity Medical Intensive Care Unit
- Demonstrate high levels of professional competency in critical care nursing practiceworked
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain a safe, secure, and comfortable environment for patients and their families
- Participate in required holiday coverage and every-other-weekend scheduling
- Float to other units or facilities as needed
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher
- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Alabama or a valid compact license (temporary licenses not accepted); Nursys verification required
- Minimum of 18 months of experience working under the highest level of professional license, with at least 1 year of recent ICU specialty experience
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- NIH Stroke Scale certification (AHA or Red Cross)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification, particularly if floating to a pediatric unit
- Experience with Meditech EMR system
- 2 or more years of ICU nursing experience
