Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36–48 Hours per Week | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide complex monitoring and treatment of adult patients in a 16-bed high-acuity Medical Intensive Care Unit
• Demonstrate high levels of professional competency in critical care nursing practiceworked
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain a safe, secure, and comfortable environment for patients and their families
• Participate in required holiday coverage and every-other-weekend scheduling
• Float to other units or facilities as needed

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher
• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Alabama or a valid compact license (temporary licenses not accepted); Nursys verification required
• Minimum of 18 months of experience working under the highest level of professional license, with at least 1 year of recent ICU specialty experience
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• NIH Stroke Scale certification (AHA or Red Cross)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification, particularly if floating to a pediatric unit
• Experience with Meditech EMR system
• 2 or more years of ICU nursing experience
