Registered Nurse – Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | 10-Hour Evening Shifts | Start Time 11:00 AM – 9:30 PM
Key Responsibilities
- Provide post-anesthesia nursing care to patients in a PACU setting
- Monitor and assess patients in Pre-Op, Post-Op, and Phase 1 PACU stages
- Float within the PACU department as needed to support patient care operations
- Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams to ensure safe patient transitions
- Document patient assessments and interventions accurately in the EMR system
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of PACU experience required
- Active Illinois Registered Nurse license
- Current CPR certification
- Current ACLS certification
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working across Pre-Op, Post-Op, and Phase 1 PACU environments
- Familiarity with EMR systems and adaptability during system upgrades or transitions
