Registered Nurse – Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)

Contract | Full-Time | Days | 10-Hour Shifts | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in Pre-Op, Post-Op, and Phase 1 PACU settings
- Monitor and assess patients recovering from anesthesia, identifying and responding to changes in condition
- Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams to ensure safe patient transitions through the perioperative continuum
- Float within the PACU department as needed to support staffing and patient care demands
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory standards
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of PACU experience required
- Active Illinois Registered Nurse license
- Current CPR certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Must be available August 10–14 with no time-off requests during that period
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working across Pre-Op, Post-Op, and Phase 1 PACU environments
- Familiarity with EMR systems and adaptability during system upgrades or transitions
