Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry Float Pool (Nights)

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 or 48 hours per week | Every other weekend required | Holidays as required | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Medical Surgical/Telemetry setting as part of a float pool
• Float to various units and hospital locations as assigned
• Monitor and assess patients on telemetry, responding appropriately to changes in condition
• Document patient care accurately using the facility EMR system (Meditech)
• Adhere to facility dress code (solid navy scrubs) and all departmental policies
• Participate in early start shifts when available and compliant

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher
• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Alabama or a valid Compact license (temporary licenses not accepted)
• NURSYS verification required
• Current AHA BLS certification or Red Cross BLS certification
• Minimum of 18 months of experience working under the highest level of professional license, with at least 1 year of recent experience in Medical Surgical/Telemetry; 2 years of specialty experience preferred
• Willingness to float to multiple units and hospital locations

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 2 or more years of experience in Medical Surgical/Telemetry nursing
• Prior experience working in a float pool or multi-unit environment
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR
