Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry (Oncology)

Contract | Days / Nights Rotating | 3x12-Hour Shifts | Day: 7:00–19:30 / Night: 19:00–7:30

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients admitted for chemotherapy administration, soft tissue malignancy management, and symptom management related to disease treatment or progression
• Perform continuous cardiac monitoring and interpret dysrhythmias for patients receiving chemotherapy and related treatments
• Manage central lines, PICC lines, arterial lines, and ports, including blood product administration
• Implement and maintain infection prevention protocols and patient fall prevention measures
• Assist with chest tube insertion and removal, and manage high flow nasal cannula (HFNC) and ABG interpretation
• Float to units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed based on staffing priorities

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Valid compact or state RN license in hand at time of submission
• Active BCLS certification required
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required
• Nursing degree from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Ability to complete Ohio state fingerprinting requirements promptly upon contract signing

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Oncology nursing experience preferred but not required
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Familiarity with GE B450 telemetry systems, Alaris pumps, Bladder Scanner, and Stryker beds
