Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Days | Full-Time | Onsite | Start Time: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM | Projected Start: 08/10/2026
Key Responsibilities
- Obtain and record initial patient assessments, establishing care priorities based on age, symptoms, and psychosocial needs; reassess patients systematically to identify trends requiring intervention.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized, measurable plans of care consistent with Nursing Standards of Care, modifying plans based on patient outcomes.
- Perform and document timely nursing interventions appropriate to patient needs, including various Point of Care testing procedures.
- Coordinate team assignments and delegate unit work appropriately, following up on delegated tasks to ensure quality and completeness of patient care.
- Participate in patient and family health education and discharge planning.
- Maintain a professional, collaborative work environment by communicating effectively with staff, physicians, patients, and families, and supporting unit growth and organizational goals.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program.
- Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license.
- BLS Certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
- ACLS Certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
- Current knowledge and clinical skills appropriate to the age and type of patient population served in an Operating Room / Surgery setting.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, with sensitivity to patients' rights in the delivery of care.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience working with EPIC electronic medical records (EMR).
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to on-call and floating requirements across locations.
- Experience in a travel nursing or fast-paced acute care surgical environment.
