Key Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care in an acute care operating room environment, supporting trauma, neuro, vascular, and orthopedic surgical cases
• Participate in on-call rotation distributed equally among nursing staff, which may include up to 6–8 on-call shifts per 6-week period covering nights, evenings, and weekends
• Float between like units within the facility or to nearby affiliate facilities as needed
• Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health record system
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes throughout the perioperative process
• Work a minimum of 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year)

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of operating room nursing experience
• Experience in trauma, neuro, vascular, and orthopedic surgical specialties required
• Valid, active California RN license (no pending licenses accepted)
• Current BLS certification
• Proficiency with Epic charting system
• Willingness and ability to fulfill on-call obligations as assigned

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience in an acute care hospital setting
• Familiarity with variable start time scheduling (7:00 and 9:00 start times)
• Experience floating between multiple units or facilities
