Travel - NICU Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate speech, language, and swallowing abilities of neonatal and pediatric patients with impairments resulting from premature birth, birth injuries, disease, or other causes
• Synthesize assessment data to establish individualized plans of care through evidence-based practice interventions and goals appropriate to the patient's age and developmental stage
• Perform Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS) as part of dysphagia evaluation and management
• Collaborate and communicate with an interdisciplinary team of professionals to implement and assess intervention programs
• Provide services across floating areas including NICU, Pediatric, and Adult units as needed
• Demonstrate initiative, independence, and a proactive approach while consistently delivering timely, high-quality patient care

Required Qualifications

• Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
• Current Texas State License in Speech-Language Pathology
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Speech Language Pathologist
• Neonatal (NICU) experience required — candidates without this will not be considered
• Modified Barium Swallow Study (MBSS) competency required — candidates without this will not be considered
• Proficiency with EMR systems; experience with Meditech Magic or Meditech Expanse a plus

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Pediatric therapy experience
• Adult speech-language pathology experience
