Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (18:45–07:15)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a PCU/stepdown setting managing conditions including cardiac arrhythmia, heart failure, chest pain, AMI, sepsis, GI bleed, pneumonia, vascular/PVD, and pre/post cardiac catheterization patients
• Perform cardiac monitoring including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, telemetry monitoring, and coordination with Rapid Response Teams
• Manage IV therapy including central line care, PICC line management, blood product administration, heparin protocols, cardiac drips (no titration), vasoactive drips (no titration), and PCA
• Provide respiratory care including management of CPAP/BiPAP, high-flow nasal cannula, tracheostomy, chest tubes, and non-invasive airway management
• Perform wound care, surgical drain management, isolation precautions, and feeding tube care
• Assume Charge RN responsibilities and holiday shift assignments as needed per unit; floating between departments, units, and facilities may be required

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – both Kansas and Missouri licensure (or compact license) required at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience with community hospital experience required
• BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• ACLS certification required
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, cardiac care, and stepdown/PCU-level patient management
• Experience with EPIC electronic health records

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous Charge RN experience preferred
• CPI certification preferred
• Skills in sheath removal, port access, phlebotomy, and total joint replacement care preferred
