Contract | Onsite | 13-Week Contract | 36 Hours per Week | 12-Hour Night Shifts (18:45–07:15) | 3x12 Schedule

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume emergency room environment serving a regional referral and tertiary care patient population
• Perform triage, IV starts, and telemetry monitoring in accordance with unit protocols
• Utilize unit systems including Pyxis, EPIC, and SBAR for documentation and communication
• Participate in daily shift huddles and maintain effective communication with the care team
• Float between Emergency Observation Unit and Emergency Behavioral Health based on unit need
• Meet weekend requirements of a minimum of 4 weekend days per 6-week scheduling period

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience
• Active RN license in NC or a Compact state
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale, PALS, and MOAB
• Proficiency in IV starts, triage, and telemetry
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start
• Ability and willingness to float within the emergency department as needed

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification
• Prior experience in a high-volume emergency department setting
