Sterile Processing Technician – Surgical Services

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:00 AM – 6:30 PM) | Friday – Sunday with occasional scheduled holidays | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Perform decontamination of all surgical items including drills, robotic surgical instruments, and scopes
• Assemble instruments across all service lines including trauma sets, loaner trays, and peel packaging
• Execute sterilization processes including Sterrad and steam sterilization methods
• Perform high-level disinfection (HLD) and scope reprocessing
• Manage sterile storage and serve as an OR liaison as needed
• Utilize instrument tracking systems to maintain accurate records; may be required to float to other locations

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of sterile processing experience in a high-volume or Level One trauma facility setting
• Active CBSPD or CRCST certification (through HSPA, formerly IAHCSMM) required
• Demonstrated experience across all areas of a sterile processing department including decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and sterile storage
• Experience with HLD and scope reprocessing
• Ability to work weekends and occasional holidays as scheduled

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Censitrac or similar instrument tracking systems
• OR liaison experience in a surgical services environment
• Background working with loaner instrument trays and trauma service lines
