Contract | Night Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Onsite | Every Other Weekend Required | Holidays as Needed
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for a primarily Medical Surgical population, including observation patients, surgical patients, and surgical observation cases
- Care for patients with respiratory conditions, general medical surgical diagnoses, diabetes (including new diabetics and patients with diabetes-related complications), palliative, end-of-life, and hospice needs, as well as psychiatric observation patients
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently using EPIC EMR
- Participate in floating to other facility campuses within the health system as needed
- Complete required onboarding modules and compliance requirements within designated deadlines
- Pass a compliance EKG exam during onboarding (two attempts permitted)
Required Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license — must be in hand at time of submission
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- EPIC EMR experience required
- Must pass a compliance EKG exam during onboarding (2 attempts allowed)
- Must meet scheduling flexibility expectations, including a zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous experience as a Charge RN
- Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and EKG interpretation
