OB Registered Nurse – Full-Time Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

Key Responsibilities
- Complete initial nursing histories, assess patient conditions, and develop individualized plans of care for maternal and newborn patients.
- Triage patient care based on presenting or expressed symptoms; identify and promptly alert providers of patient status changes.
- Assess labor progression and manage induction of labor, cervical ripening, and pregnancy-related concerns such as hypertension and diabetes.
- Respond competently to obstetric emergencies including prolapsed cord, breech delivery, postpartum hemorrhage, precipitous delivery, uterine rupture, meconium management, abruptio placenta, and placenta previa.
- Assess newborn condition; perform neonatal resuscitation within scope of practice; recognize and manage neonatal sepsis and monitor for adverse events such as hypoglycemia, hypothermia, and jaundice.
- Accurately administer medications, perform and interpret fetal heart monitoring, and promote patient education regarding newborn care.
Required Qualifications
- Two-year degree in nursing required; four-year degree preferred.
- Must hold and maintain an active Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 1 month of hire.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required within 6 months of hire.
- Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics (ALSO), S.T.A.B.L.E., and Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certifications required within 1 year of hire.
- Exceptional accuracy, attention to detail, and intermediate computer proficiency required.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Comprehensive obstetric and newborn nursing skills with thorough understanding of triage principles.
- Strong interpersonal communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities with a self-starter approach to patient care.
