Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Days | Full-Time | Onsite | Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with 1–2 Saturday shifts per month (8:00 AM–12:00 PM)
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic and eye function tests including visual fields, keratometry, topography, A-Scans, and Schirmer tests
- Conduct clinical optics and ocular motility assessments
- Operate Optos imaging equipment as part of routine patient care
- Document patient information and test results accurately using Epic EMR
- Support ophthalmology clinical staff in delivering patient care during scheduled weekday and rotating Saturday shifts
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of ophthalmic technician experience
- Ophthalmic Technician diploma from an accredited program
- Active BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC)
- Proficiency with Optos imaging equipment (required)
- Proficiency with Epic EMR (required)
- Active credentials must be in hand at time of submission; pending credentials are not accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in a high-volume ophthalmology or specialty eye care setting
- Familiarity with a broad range of ophthalmic diagnostic procedures
