Sterile Processing Technician

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Evening Shift | Monday through Friday with occasional scheduled Holidays | 5x8 Hours (2:00 PM – 10:30 PM)

Key Responsibilities

• Perform decontamination of all surgical items including drills, robotic surgical instruments, and scopes
• Carry out sterilization processes including Sterrad and steam sterilization methods
• Perform high-level disinfection (HLD) and scope reprocessing
• Manage sterile storage and serve as OR Liaison for surgical floors
• Utilize the Censitrac tracking system to document and track instrumentation
• Move and manage case carts, separate soiled items, and prepare case carts for next-day surgical cases; respond to OR calls across both floors of surgery

Required Qualifications

• Active CBSPD or CRCST certification (CRCST through HSPA, formerly IAHCSMM) required
• Demonstrated experience in all areas of sterile processing, including decontamination, sterilization, HLD, and sterile storage
• Experience with robotic surgical instrument reprocessing and scope reprocessing
• Ability to fulfill OR Liaison responsibilities across multiple surgical floors

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience with the Censitrac instrument tracking system
• Familiarity with both Sterrad and steam sterilization platforms
• Experience in a high-volume surgical services environment
