Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Full-Time | 36 Guaranteed Hours per Week | Rotating Weekends | 2 Major Holidays Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on an Orthopedic / Medical-Surgical unit with a focus on post-operative and general med-surg patients
• Assist with and support pre- and post-operative procedures including total knee and hip replacements
• Perform wound care and assist with incision and drainage (I&D) procedures as directed
• Document patient assessments, care, and outcomes accurately using the Meditech electronic health record system
• Float to other units as needed in accordance with facility floating policy
• Adhere to facility dress code and professional conduct standards at all times

Required Qualifications

• Active Texas LVN / LPN license (temporary licenses are not accepted)
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum 1 year of LVN / LPN experience in a Medical-Surgical setting
• Basic wound care experience
• Ability to float to other units per facility policy

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Orthopedic nursing experience, including care of total joint replacement patients
• Prior experience with Meditech documentation system
• 2 or more years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience
