Registered Nurse – Oncology (Acute Leukemia & Hematology)

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct inpatient nursing care to adults and geriatric patients with acute leukemia and hematologic conditions
• Administer high volumes of blood products, IV antibiotics, and electrolyte therapies
• Monitor patients via telemetry, interpret dysrhythmias, and utilize Rapid Response Teams as needed
• Manage central lines, PICC lines, peripheral lines, and perform IV starts and central line blood draws
• Implement and maintain infection prevention protocols and patient fall prevention measures
• Document all patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health record system

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of overall nursing experience required
• Medical-surgical oncology experience required, with at least one inpatient hematology oncology position in work history
• First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
• Active BLS, ACLS, and ONS Chemotherapy Certification required
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, IV therapy, phlebotomy, blood product administration, feeding tube care, and PICC line management
• Valid compact or Ohio state RN license in hand at time of submission; nursing education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program

Preferred Experience / Skills

• NIHSS certification preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience in an oncology or hematology inpatient setting
