Contract | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 3x12-Hour Shifts) | Onsite | Every third weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Room setting serving a general patient population ranging from neonates to elderly patients
• Perform IV starts, telemetry monitoring, and other emergency nursing interventions within a 12-bed unit
• Maintain patient-to-nurse ratios of 1:4–6, delivering safe and effective care across all acuity levels
• Conduct bedside handoff communication using SBAR methodology
• Complete documentation accurately using the unit's electronic health record system
• Float within or near the facility as needed per assignment requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active NC RN license or valid Compact RN license (pending licensure acceptable at time of submission)
• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Room nursing experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Demonstrated proficiency in IV starts and telemetry in an ER setting
• Must successfully pass EKG testing prior to start
• Must be available to work 2 of 3 major holidays and comply with pre-approved time-off policies

Preferred Experience / Skills

• NIHSS and/or TNCC certification
• Experience with conscious sedation and triage
• Familiarity with MediTech documentation systems
