Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery (LDRP)

Contract | Nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | 36 or 48 hours per week | 13–26 week assignments available

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive LDRP and couplet care (mother/baby) with a 1:4 patient ratio
• Perform and assist with sterile speculum exams including assessment of effacement, dilation, station, and presentation
• Apply and interpret external and internal fetal monitoring, including recognition and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
• Provide breastfeeding and lactation support to postpartum patients
• Circulate for cesarean section procedures as required
• Float to assist other units as needed and fulfill mandatory call shifts (2 per 6-week schedule) and every-other-weekend requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in North Carolina or a valid Compact state license
• Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Current BLS, AWHONN, and NRP certifications
• Proficiency with external fetal heart monitoring (EFM) and internal fetal monitoring
• Experience with LDRP and Mother/Baby patient populations

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with EPIC electronic health records system
• Familiarity with Pyxis medication dispensing and SBAR communication framework
