Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery (LDRP)

Contract | Nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | 36 or 48 hours per week | 13–26 week assignments available
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive LDRP and couplet care (mother/baby) with a 1:4 patient ratio
- Perform and assist with sterile speculum exams including assessment of effacement, dilation, station, and presentation
- Apply and interpret external and internal fetal monitoring, including recognition and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
- Provide breastfeeding and lactation support to postpartum patients
- Circulate for cesarean section procedures as required
- Float to assist other units as needed and fulfill mandatory call shifts (2 per 6-week schedule) and every-other-weekend requirements
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in North Carolina or a valid Compact state license
- Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Current BLS, AWHONN, and NRP certifications
- Proficiency with external fetal heart monitoring (EFM) and internal fetal monitoring
- Experience with LDRP and Mother/Baby patient populations
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with EPIC electronic health records system
- Familiarity with Pyxis medication dispensing and SBAR communication framework
