Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a float pool capacity, rotating across multiple Med/Surg Intermediate and PCU departments, including travel to additional metro area campuses as needed
- Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry, manage dysrhythmias, and respond to emergent cardiac events
- Care for patients presenting with conditions including stroke, sepsis, renal failure, GI bleed, AFIB, ETOH, SI, wound care, and COVID
- Perform pre- and post-cardiac catheterization care and support cardiovascular patient management
- Utilize facility technology including Virtual Nurses, 12-lead EKG, AirVo, Voalte, and Omnicell systems
- Accept holiday shift assignments and charge RN responsibilities as needed per unit; complete required weekend shifts within the designated scheduling period
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license; Kansas and Missouri licensure (or compact license covering both states) required at time of submission
- Minimum 1–2 years of RN experience in a Med/Surg, Telemetry, Cardiac Telemetry, or Neuro Stepdown setting
- Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias and perform telemetry monitoring
- Willingness and ability to float between multiple units and campuses as a dedicated float pool clinician — no home unit will be assigned
- Home address must be located at least 75 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Current ACLS certification
- Experience with sheath removal, feeding tube care and management, port access, blood product administration, and central line care and management
- Familiarity with EPIC EMR
