Contract | Onsite | Rotating Shifts (Day/Night, 3x12-Hour Shifts) | Days: 7:00am–7:30pm | Nights: 7:00pm–7:30am

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to pediatric patients in an intensive care setting, including patients up to 25 years of age
• Monitor and manage patients requiring epilepsy monitoring and inotrope administration
• Perform and interpret ECG/EKG rhythm recognition as part of ongoing patient assessment
• Rotate between day and night shifts as needed to meet operational demands of the unit
• Complete required orientation assessments including ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate evaluations with an acceptable passing score
• Work at least every other holiday as required by the facility

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 months of permanent experience in PICU or the specialty being applied for, prior to travel assignments
• Minimum of 18 months of recent Pediatric experience (travel experience acceptable)
• Active permanent Ohio RN license or compact state license in hand at time of submission
• Active AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required at time of submission (no pending certifications accepted)
• Proficiency with EKG interpretation and inotrope administration
• One professional reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty, from an assignment worked within the past 12 months

Preferred Experience / Skills

• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification preferred
• Experience with epilepsy monitoring in a pediatric intensive care environment
