Contract | Nights | 12-Hour Shifts (18:45–07:15) | 36 or 48 hours per week accepted | 13–26 week contracts | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to adult and geriatric Medical/Surgical patients within a unit maintaining a daily census of approximately 43 patients at a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Manage insulin drips, heparin drips, wound vac dressing changes, high-flow oxygen, and occasional short-term BiPAP with respiratory support
• Fulfill a charge nurse role as required on night shifts
• Float to similar units and alternate care locations with inpatients holding, as needed
• Participate in assigned Inclement Weather, Storm, and/or Hurricane Teams; may be required to report during catastrophic events, mass casualty incidents, or disasters
• Work every other weekend and a minimum of 2 out of 3 major holidays as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in North Carolina or a valid Compact RN license
• Minimum of 2 years of Registered Nurse experience
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health records (Epic experience required)
• Demonstrated ability to manage insulin and heparin drips
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
• Ability to work holidays and care for patients with infectious conditions including COVID-19

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification
• Prior charge nurse experience
