Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 3x12-hour shifts | 36 hours per week | Every other weekend required | Holiday requirement applies

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Labor & Delivery unit managing common diagnoses and procedures including labor, induction of labor, Cesarean section delivery, External Cephalic Version, and fetal demise
• Administer and manage specialized treatments including Epidural management, Magnesium Sulfate administration, Pitocin titration, and Insulin drips
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:1, 1:2, or 1:3 depending on patient acuity
• Document patient care using Cerner (transitioning to Epic)
• Float to related areas within acuity as needed, including Antenatal, High Risk, OB Triage, and Postpartum
• Provide timely shift handoff to charge or oncoming nurse, including outstanding tasks and relevant patient information not readily visible in the EMR

Required Qualifications

• Active Delaware RN license or valid Compact RN license (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Labor & Delivery specialty — no exceptions
• Current certifications required (must be submitted with expiration dates)
• Ability to work night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), every other weekend, and assigned holidays
• Willingness to float to Antenatal, High Risk, OB Triage, and Postpartum units as needed

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Cerner EMR; familiarity with Epic a plus
• Experience managing high-acuity obstetric patients including high-risk and antepartum cases
