Travel RN – Medical/Surgical (Night Shift)

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite | Rotating Weekends

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 16-bed Medical/Surgical unit with a maximum patient ratio of 6:1
• Perform standard nursing skills including IV insertion, urinary catheter insertion and maintenance, and central line maintenance
• Administer medications accurately and in accordance with facility protocols
• Document all patient care activities and clinical findings in the electronic health record (Meditech EMR)
• Communicate effectively with all members of the interdisciplinary care team
• Float to other Med/Surg units as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 1 year of acute Medical/Surgical experience within the past year
• Demonstrated ability to manage 4–6 patients simultaneously
• Proficiency with standard nursing equipment and EMR documentation

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 2 or more years of acute Medical/Surgical experience within the past year
• Background in orthopedics, neurosurgery, or Medical/Surgical Telemetry
