Registered Nurse – Long Term Care / Skilled Nursing Facility

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | Full-Time | Onsite | Monday through Sunday, every other weekend minimum required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents in a long-term care and skilled nursing environment
• Work with a patient population that includes individuals with dementia, applying appropriate care techniques
• Float to other units within the facility as needed to meet staffing and patient care requirements
• Adhere to assigned scheduled hours as outlined in the contract, including every other weekend at minimum
• Communicate any pre-planned time off prior to the start of the assignment, as time-off requests will not be honored once the assignment begins

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — must be on file at time of submission
• Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience required
• Prior long-term care (LTC) experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Must be willing and able to float to other units as needed

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working with dementia patient populations in a long-term care setting
• Familiarity with completing detailed work history documentation including bed count, EMR systems, and facility type
