Key Responsibilities

• Administer chemotherapy and IV fluids via peripherally inserted central catheters (PICCs) to oncology patients.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments to identify, diagnose, and evaluate actual or potential health problems.
• Develop and deliver patient, family, and caregiver education regarding post-discharge care and follow-up after chemotherapy.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary health care team to initiate and revise individualized plans of care as patient conditions change.
• Document all patient care accurately in the health care record in accordance with established standards.
• Provide guidance, direction, and delegation to other members of the health care team to ensure quality, safe, and effective infusion services.

Required Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) required.
• Minimum of one (1) year of oncology nursing experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Must obtain Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification within one year of hire.
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) strongly preferred.
• Prior experience orienting or educating new nursing staff on techniques and departmental procedures.
• Familiarity with total quality management initiatives aimed at improving patient and system outcomes.
