Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (18:45–07:15) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit, managing a patient population with general med-surg diagnoses
• Monitor and interpret telemetry readings and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Perform IV starts and administer medications utilizing Pyxis medication dispensing system
• Document patient care accurately and thoroughly using EPIC electronic health record system following SBAR communication standards
• Float to other units within the facility as needed based on census and staffing requirements
• Work every other weekend as required by unit scheduling policy

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in North Carolina or a Compact state license
• Minimum of 2 years of registered nursing experience required
• Demonstrated proficiency with IV starts and telemetry monitoring
• Current BCLS certification required
• Prior experience with EPIC electronic health record system required
• Must successfully pass EKG testing prior to start

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification preferred
• NIH Stroke Scale certification preferred
• Familiarity with Pyxis medication dispensing and SBAR communication framework
