Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift | Monday–Friday | 8-hour shifts (start times between 6:15 AM and 7:00 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain a sterile field; perform gowning, gloving, and surgical scrubbing in accordance with facility policy
• Identify medications and solutions by name, dosage, and expiration date in coordination with the registered nurse and surgeon
• Assist with skin preparation, patient draping, case set-up, and maintenance of sterile and unsterile supplies
• Perform sharps, sponge, and instrument counts; update surgeon preference lists as needed
• Clean, sterilize, and properly store contaminated instruments and equipment; operate sterilizing apparatus safely and document accurately
• Identify emergency situations and respond in a calm, efficient manner following established procedures and infection control policies

Required Qualifications

• Current Surgical Technologist certification required
• Knowledge of normal and pathologic anatomy, physiology, and pharmacologic agents used in the surgical setting
• Demonstrated understanding of aseptic principles and sterile technique
• Ability to work exclusively 8-hour day shifts (10- and 12-hour shifts are not available for this position)
• Adherence to Standard Precautions and Infection Control policies

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in an outpatient surgery center setting
• Familiarity with a broad range of surgical procedures and associated instrumentation
• Demonstrated efficiency and organization in sterile field setup and intraoperative support
