Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Days, 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM | Every other weekend required | Holidays on a rotating basis | 2–3 on-call shifts per month
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the Labor, Delivery, and Recovery (LDR) unit during day shift hours
- Monitor and assess fetal status using intermediate or advanced fetal monitoring techniques
- Float to the Medical/Surgical unit as needed to support overflow patient care
- Care for pediatric patients as required based on unit needs
- Participate in on-call shifts and respond to call-back assignments during scheduled shifts
- Adhere to facility policies including nicotine-free workplace standards
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license
- AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required (candidates must be fully committed to obtaining PALS prior to start if not already held)
- Fetal monitoring class completion at the intermediate or advanced level within the past 24 months
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery (LDR) experience
- Willingness and ability to float to Medical/Surgical and provide pediatric patient care
Preferred Experience / Skills
- 3 or more years of LDR experience, preferably in a rural hospital setting
- Previous travel nursing experience
- Experience with EPIC electronic health records system
