Key Responsibilities

• Perform general nuclear medicine examinations, therapeutic procedures, and PET/CT patient exams in a hospital-based, acute care environment
• Conduct nuclear medicine quality control measures and carry out patient exams and procedures as requested by medical staff
• Assist radiologists and other medical staff during exams and procedures
• Complete documentation required for proper interpretation, reporting, archiving, and retrieval of exams
• Verify written and electronic orders and related health information to ensure timely performance and reporting of nuclear medicine exams
• Complete appropriate documentation for the administration, receipt, return, decay, and disposal of radioactive materials in compliance with state and federal regulations

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of a CAHEA-accredited Allied Health Education program or equivalent
• ARRT certification in Nuclear Medicine or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB) certification
• American Heart Association BLS certification required within 60 days of hire
• Ability to perform essential job functions in a busy and stressful acute care environment
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Minimum of one (1) year of post-graduate work experience as a registered Nuclear Medicine Technologist
• Familiarity with hospital quality indicator monitoring and improvement processes
