Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) / Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)

Schedule / Job Type

Full-Time | Permanent | Day/Evening Shift | Nights and Weekends included | On-Call

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare specimens and operate automated analyzers; evaluate test results
• Perform manual tests following detailed instructions across all areas of the laboratory
• Responsible for laboratory quality control, proficiency testing, and Quality Assurance
• Participate in facility performance improvement projects
• Work cooperatively with all departments, including the ability to work unsupervised and in an on-call capacity

Required Qualifications

• Degree in Biology or Chemistry
• ASCP certification or equivalent required
• Licensure in the State of Montana as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist required
• Knowledge of CLIA, Compliance, and HIPAA regulations
• Ability to work unsupervised and independently in an on-call setting

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in all areas of the laboratory, including Microbiology and Immunohematology
• Proficiency with laboratory computers, specialized analyzers, and equipment
• Familiarity with laboratory budgeting practices
• Experience researching and setting up new laboratory procedures
