Contract | Nights 3x12s (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 36 Hours per Week | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to laboring and postpartum patients throughout all stages of labor and delivery
- Monitor maternal and fetal status using electronic fetal monitoring equipment and respond to changes in patient condition
- Administer medications, IV fluids, and other treatments as ordered by the care team
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary staff to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes
- Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and care plans in the electronic health record
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience
- Active and unrestricted Connecticut RN license or valid compact RN license
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Meditech electronic health record system
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system
- Familiarity with GE-Centricity fetal monitoring software
