Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry (Oncology)

Contract | Days / Nights Rotating | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00–19:30 / 19:00–7:30)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical Oncology unit with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Perform continuous cardiac monitoring related to chemotherapy administration and telemetry management using the GE B450 monitor system
• Manage symptom control for patients receiving chemotherapy, diagnostic services, or experiencing disease progression
• Implement and maintain infection prevention protocols and patient fall prevention measures
• Operate specialized equipment including Alaris pumps, bladder scanner, and Stryker beds
• Float to units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed based on staffing priorities

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Valid RN compact or state license in hand at time of submission
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required
• Demonstrated ability to interpret dysrhythmias and ABGs
• Nursing degree from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Oncology nursing experience preferred but not required
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Experience with port access, arterial line management, central line and PICC line care, blood product administration, chest tube assistance, and high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC)
