Registered Nurse – ICU (Critical Care Float Pool)

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 36 Hours/Week | Onsite | Weekend Nights (Friday/Saturday) plus one additional night shift per week

Key Responsibilities

• Float within a Critical Care Float Pool, providing nursing care across multiple ICU settings including Neuro ICU, Surgical ICUs, Medical ICUs, Cardiology/Diagnostics, CVICU, SICU, MICU, and NCCU
• Deliver high-acuity patient care during overnight and weekend shifts, adapting to varying unit needs and patient populations
• Manage patients requiring ventilator support, telemetry monitoring, and IV therapy
• Float to units of equivalent or lower acuity in accordance with float pool policy
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently using the EPIC electronic health record system

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience
• Current, valid RN license (compact or state license required at time of submission)
• Active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system
• Demonstrated experience with IV starts, telemetry, and ventilator management
• Nursing degree from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience floating across multiple critical care unit types within a large health system
• Familiarity with high-acuity cardiac and neuroscience patient populations
• Prior travel nursing experience in an ICU setting
