Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Labor and Delivery unit within an acute care Magnet-designated facility
- Maintain a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio in accordance with unit standards
- Float between like units within the facility as needed
- Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support maternal and neonatal patient outcomes
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience
- Active California RN license (must be in hand at time of submission; pending licenses not accepted)
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, Advanced AWHONN, and LA Fire Card (obtained within the last 30 days)
- Proficiency with Epic charting system
- Must commit to working 3 of the following 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day
- Any background or license history must be disclosed at time of submission; no open license hits will be approved
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a Magnet-designated or acute care hospital setting
- Familiarity with floating between Labor and Delivery and similar units
- Experience working night shifts in a high-volume Labor and Delivery environment
