Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Nights (3x12 Hours, 18:45–07:15) | Onsite | Every third weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Labor and Delivery unit with a 1:3 patient ratio, including couplet care and newborn assessment
• Administer blood and blood products, manage CVC/PICC lines, and start and maintain peripheral IVs
• Administer and monitor medications including anticonvulsants, antihypertensives, heparin, insulin drips, magnesium sulfate therapy, and oxytocin
• Perform pain management including opioid administration, epidural support, and PCA IV management
• Provide patient and family education including car seat safety, cord care, circumcision care, discharge teaching, and baby-friendly protocols
• Carry out phlebotomy, vaccine administration, isolation precautions, incision care, and neonatal abstinence syndrome monitoring

Required Qualifications

• Valid Missouri RN license or compact license required at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required; Level 2 experience required
• Cerner EMR experience required — no exceptions
• Prior travel nursing experience required — no exceptions
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate
• Candidates must be prepared to float to competent units within the facility as needed

Preferred Experience / Skills

• AWHONN Advanced certification preferred; CPI certification will be required beginning January 2026
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Experience with phototherapy, thermoregulation, large for gestational age and low birth weight infants, and breastfeeding pump support
