MRI Technologist – Radiology/Cardiology

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday | 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Perform a broad range of MRI examinations including brain, spine, musculoskeletal, abdominal, pelvic, vascular, and breast imaging
• Execute advanced MRI techniques including T-1 and T-2 weighted imaging, gradient echo, spin echo, diffusion, perfusion, MRA, MRV, MRCP, and multiplanar reconstruction
• Prepare and administer contrast media and start peripheral IVs as required
• Operate GE and Siemens MRI equipment and utilize PACS and EPIC systems for image management and documentation
• Adhere to isolation precautions and PPE protocols in applicable care settings including Adult Acute Care, ICU, Outpatient, and ER/Trauma environments
• Float to additional affiliated facilities as needed and participate in Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team assignments during catastrophic events or mass casualty situations

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of MRI Technologist experience
• Active ARRT certification in both Radiography (R) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR)
• Current BLS certification
• NC state license or Compact license (pending acceptable for submission)
• Proficiency with GE and Siemens MRI equipment and PACS
• Experience with surface coils, image post-processing (ADC mapping, subtraction), and maximum intensity projection (MIP)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with abdominal MRA/MRV, peripheral MRA with bilateral runoff, and thoracic MRA
• Familiarity with CINE cerebrospinal fluid flow studies and perfusion imaging
• Experience imaging temporomandibular joints and sternum
