Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Contract | Rotating Day/Night Shifts (3x12-Hour Shifts) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Medical Surgical / Telemetry setting
• Monitor and interpret ECG cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Potential to float to other units within the same patient population as operationally needed
• May be required to care for patients on ventilators
• Rotate between day and night shifts as needed to meet facility operational requirements
• Work at least every other holiday as required by the facility

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 18 months of combined permanent experience in Medical Surgical / Telemetry specialty (travel experience accepted for the recent experience requirement)
• Permanent Ohio RN license or compact state license — must be active and in hand at time of submission
• Active AHA or American Red Cross BLS certification — must be in hand at time of submission
• Active ACLS certification — must be in hand at time of submission
• Active NIHSS certification — must be in hand at time of submission
• Must achieve acceptable scores on ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments completed during orientation (maximum two attempts)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 18 months of permanent experience within a single facility location
• Prior experience caring for ventilator-dependent patients
• Experience in a high-acuity or large acute care hospital environment
