Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | Every Other Weekend | No On-Call

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Medical Intensive Care Unit setting with patient ratios of 1:1–2
• Manage and monitor critically ill patients experiencing conditions such as sepsis, respiratory failure, multisystem organ failure, post-cardiac arrest, DKA, liver failure, and renal failure
• Operate and troubleshoot specialized ICU equipment including ventilators, CRRT machines, IV pumps, and cardiac monitors
• Perform and oversee continuous glucose monitoring for hyperglycemic patients and manage externalized IV pump protocols
• Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using the EPIC electronic health record system
• Initiate and manage IV access and telemetry monitoring throughout the patient care continuum

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Medical ICU (MICU) experience required
• Valid RN license (compact or state license required at time of submission)
• EPIC experience required
• Active BCLS and ACLS certifications (AHA only)
• Active NIHSS certification (AHA only)
• Proficiency in IV insertion, telemetry monitoring, and ventilator management
• Nursing education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous travel nursing experience
• Hands-on experience with NxStage CRRT, Alaris IV Pump, GE Cardiac Monitor, and GE Ventilator
• Clinical experience managing COVID-positive patients in an ICU environment
