Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on an Intermediate Care/PCU/Stepdown unit with a typical nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4 or 1:5 on a 39-bed unit
• Monitor and care for telemetry and surgical patients
• Read and interpret telemetry strips accurately and independently
• Document all patient care activities using Epic electronic health records
• Float to other campuses within the health system as needed based on census and skill set
• Work every other weekend and every other holiday as required

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (any active state license or compact license accepted; no prior license disciplinary actions)
• Current ACLS certification
• Current BLS certification
• IV Start certification
• Telemetry certification with demonstrated ability to read and interpret telemetry strips
• Epic EMR experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in an IMC, PCU, or Stepdown setting
• Experience caring for post-surgical patients in a telemetry environment
• Comfort with floating to multiple units or campuses based on patient census and clinical skill set
