Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36–48 Hours Per Week | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide complex monitoring and treatment of adult cardiac patients in an 8-bed high-acuity Cardiac Intensive Care Unit
• Care for patients received from the Cath Lab, Emergency Department, and Acute Care areas requiring specialized cardiac intervention
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes
• Demonstrate high levels of professional competency while maintaining a safe and secure patient environment
• Float to other units and hospital locations as needed
• Work every other weekend and all required holidays

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher
• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Alabama or valid compact license (temporary licenses not accepted); Nursys verification required
• Minimum of 18 months of experience working under the highest level of professional license, with at least 1 recent year of experience in CICU or CVICU specialty
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• AHA NIH Stroke Scale certification (or Red Cross equivalent)
• Proficiency with Meditech EMR; scrub color requirement is solid navy

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification, if floating to pediatric units
• Prior travel nursing experience in a cardiac or critical care setting
