Contract | Night Shift (3x12 Hours, 6:45 PM – 6:45 AM) | Onsite | Every other weekend and some holidays required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients who are admitted and boarding in the Emergency Department while awaiting inpatient bed availability, in a designated area or hallway setting
• Manage patient ratios of up to 6:1 in an ED holding environment
• Float to acute care areas as needed to meet facility demands within scope of practice
• Document patient care accurately using Cerner electronic health records system
• Participate in onsite orientation modules as directed by the Nurse Educator

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee or a valid Compact license in hand at time of submittal
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience; candidates with strong relevant experience may be considered
• Current ACLS certification required
• Prior experience with Cerner charting system required
• Acute Care or Medical-Surgical Telemetry experience required
• Pending licensure is not accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a Level I Emergency Department setting
• Familiarity with ED boarding workflows and high patient-volume environments
• Comfort with floating across acute care units within scope of practice
