Surgical Technologist – Operating Room (CST)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 4x10-hour shifts, 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM | On-call required (up to 4 call shifts per month) | Weekend rotation required (1 weekend per 4-week scheduling period) | Holiday rotation required

Key Responsibilities

• Scrub and assist in a wide variety of surgical cases including Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, ENT, Robotics, Transplant/Procurement, Trauma/Burns, and GU/GYN procedures
• Operate within a Level I Trauma Center environment supporting all surgical specialties across 21 OR suites
• Participate in on-call coverage and weekend rotation as required by the department schedule
• Float within scope to support facility needs across like units as required
• Utilize EPIC electronic health records system for charting and documentation
• Participate in emergency response team assignments during hurricane season (June–November) as directed

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist
• Active NBSTSA certification (NCCT not accepted)
• Current BLS certification
• Level I trauma experience required
• Radiation badge required (must be provided by placing agency)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Neurosurgery cases including spinal and cranial procedures
• Experience with ENT flap cases
• Robotic surgery experience, specifically with the Da Vinci Xi system
