Key Responsibilities

• Partner with residents and interdisciplinary care teams to create a safe and therapeutic environment through direct and indirect patient care
• Provide specialized care to Alzheimer's and dementia residents, utilizing both verbal and non-verbal communication techniques and understanding behavior as a form of communication
• Deliver skilled nursing services to short-term rehabilitation patients recovering from fractures, joint replacements, back surgery, stroke, and other conditions, including IV therapy and wound care
• Support long-term care residents requiring ongoing placement in a home-like environment across multiple units
• Perform geriatric assessment and management as part of a comprehensive care approach
• Float to other units as needed to ensure adequate coverage across a 24/7 care setting

Required Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Valid State of Maine RN license or compact RN license in good standing
• Minimum of 1–3 years of RN experience
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary care team
• Flexibility to provide coverage across a 24-hour, 7-day-per-week schedule and float to other units as needed

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Familiarity with medical terminology
• Prior experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or post-acute rehabilitation settings
• Experience working with Alzheimer's and dementia populations
